The exhibition title "Vanitas" is taken from the word vanity that signifies materialistic desire, whereas "Humanitas" represents humanity. What are we attracted to, even when our society appears as though it is sated materialistically? Since we are living in times of economic depression when the riches of the world could disappear in an instant, people have started to think in terms of what is truly valid and important. In this exhibition, they will introduce what each of these Dutch designers believe what is truly important and what catches their heart. We are bound to find some treasure in this hunt.
